An adventurous woman isn’t afraid to break her routine, challenge herself or explore her boundaries. She’s uninhibited and willing to test the limits that surround her. In order to do
that, she needs a makeup routine that reflects her lifestyle of flexibility and freedom.
Below are four must-have products with multiple purposes. It is safe to say that bringing only four products on your next adventure allows more room in your luggage; these multi-functional products provide several options to ensure you feel put together on your travels. You’ll be photoready ( selfie, anyone?) at all times!
BB Cream
No need to pack an extra SPF in your suitcase; instead opt for the BB Cream with SPF which gives the skin a natural dew and protects against harmful rays. When applying a BB Cream on the go, it’s okay to use your fingertips for application. Just make sure to keep hands sanitized. Apply necessary amount of product on the hands, and massage into the skin. This leaves you with light coverage, glowing skin, and SPF protection in one simple step.
Mascara
Once the BB Cream is applied, move on to the eyes. A light application of waterproof mascara will keep you looking fresh during all weather. Use mascara on both top and bottom lashes to frame the entire eye. Once you’ve applied the mascara, use the excess product on the wand to fill in the eyebrows. Never re-dip the mascara wand before applying to brows, as this should be just enough application to give a slight definition to the brows.
Lipstick
Choose a soft pink or coral, depending on your skin tone. A subtle lipstick holds many purposes including giving life to the lips and adding a pop of color to the cheeks. Just add a small dot on each cheek and blend slowly into the skin. If possible, find a lipstick or lip tint that also provides SPF coverage; this will eliminate any chapped lips in the future and will provide additional protection when used on the cheeks.
Concealer
Women on the go are not immune to the occasional breakout or sunspot that needs coverage. It’s best to keep a small concealer in your makeup bag. This is great for covering a random blemish, dark circles or a sunspot that reappears. It’s also nice to have a concealer on hand to use as a primer on your eyelid. Adding a small amount to the eyelid acts as a brightening shadow. This is never recommended to replace an eye shadow primer (concealer will make your eye shadows crease) but it can be a substitute to shadows all together when in a pinch. Try this at home first; it’s a great quick fix!
